Volunteer Opportunities Open Again

As we turn the page to the next chapter in our Covid response plan, we are excited to announce that as of November 1st, PASD welcomes and allows visitors and volunteers at our schools once again. Volunteers play a crucial role in supporting programs within our schools. We are grateful and encourage parents, grandparents, service clubs, businesses, and others interested in the well-being of our children to contribute their time, experience, and expertise.

Volunteers are those who provide support or time within the school setting either one time or repeatedly. All volunteers (new or returning) must apply by filling out a volunteer registration packet here, and fill out a form permitting a criminal background check, be fully vaccinated, and provide proof of vaccination before visiting. Vaccination exceptions will not be accepted for volunteers.

Visitors include parents and guardians visiting their student’s school for conferences or dropping off materials in a classroom. Visitors are not required to provide proof of vaccination as long as they are not working directly or in close proximity of students.

All volunteers and visitors must:

  • Correctly wear a face covering while on school grounds
  • Not be experiencing any Covid symptoms
  • Maintain physical distancing as much as possible
  • Utilize the check-in/check-out system with the main office
  • Practice safe hand washing/sanitizing as needed.

We are comfortable opening our doors to caring community members and programs that provide our District with vital services. As with anything during a pandemic, this could change. If you would like to volunteer, please call the District Office at 360-457-8575, or contact your neighborhood school to find out how you may get involved.
