Preschool - Kindergarten Readiness
The Port Angeles School District Developmental Preschool programs are located at Dry Creek Elementary School and Roosevelt Elementary School. Each program serves children between the ages of three and five years who have been identified as having a disability under IDEA eligibility.
Developmental Preschool provides programming to children who are developmentally delayed in one or more of the following areas
- Cognitive skills
- Communication skills
- Fine and/or gross motor skills
- Adaptive skills
- Social/emotional skills
- Visual impairment/blindness
- Hearing impairment/deafness
Developmental Preschool is designed to provide a continuum of services to meet the needs of all students. Programming is based on individual student need and may include: communication, social play, functional academics, pre-academics, and/or Kindergarten readiness
