Lighthouse Award
Building on our commitment to Lighting the Way to Learn, Grow, and Thrive, the PASD Lighthouse Awards will recognize students and staff who embody the hope, service, leadership, and belief in others that strengthen our schools and community. Inspired by the Science of Hope, the awards celebrate those who help others see possibilities, discover pathways forward, and believe in their ability to succeed. A lighthouse doesn’t decide who is worthy of its light - it shines for everyone.
Each month during the 2026-2027 School Year, Port Angeles School District will recognize employees and students with this award. Do you know a Port Angeles employee or student who deserves recognition for their dedication and outstanding service and consistently lights the way for others to learn, grow, and thrive?
Please nominate them for a PASD Lighthouse Award by filling out our nomination form. You’re also encouraged to share your recommendation with your school principal and/or school or district administrator or supervisor. Superintendent Michelle Olsen will review nominations and select individuals who exemplify the spirit of this award.
