Capital Project - Franklin Elementary School
The new Franklin Elementary School is a key part of the Port Angeles School District's long-term capital plan, funded by the same $140 million bond voters approved in November 2024 to also build a new high school. With a dedicated budget of $43 million, the project aims to replace the current school with a modern facility that provides a safe and updated learning environment. The district began the process of interviewing architectural firms for the elementary school in August 2025, coordinating its design and development alongside the larger high school project.
