REGISTRATION INFORMATION
North Olympic Peninsula Skills Center (NOPSC)
Registration is in progress at NOPSC, and there's a variety of classes in career areas to choose from: automotive technology, digital media technology, building trades, early childhood education, CNC machining technology, composites technology, information technology technician, cosmetology, medical careers, welding technology and culinary arts. If a student would like to register, call 360.565.1533 or pick up a registration form at the Skills Center. The NOPSC is located at 905 West 9th Street in Port Angeles.
The NOPSC serves high school aged students and those that are under the age of 21 years. Students who have earned a high school diploma do not qualify for enrollment. However, students with a GED are welcome to apply. Home schooled students are also encouraged to attend these small concentrated classes.
Kindergarten and Elementary New Student Enrollment
On Wednesday, August 15, elementary schools will re-open for new enrollments prior to the September 4 opening of school. Building hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Children must be 5 years old before September 1, 2006 to be eligible for kindergarten enrollment for the 2007-08 year. Parents must show the child's birth certificate or a document (immigration papers, social security card or adoption papers) with the child’s legal last name. Immunization records are also required at the time of enrollment. Parents may register the student prior to completing immunizations, but children may not begin school until they have completed the immunization requirements.

Stevens Middle School
Seventh graders at Stevens Middle School will register on Wednesday, August 22. Students with a last name beginning with A through L register from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.; M to Z register between 10:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Eighth graders register on Wednesday, August 22. Students with last names beginning with A through L register between 12:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.; M to Z register from 2:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
During the registration process, students will update home information, receive student schedules, have student photos taken, and have the opportunity to purchase lunch tickets, milk tickets, insurance, physical education uniforms, school shirts and the school yearbook.
Specific details regarding the sports program will be available at registration. Students must have a physical, insurance waiver, parent permission, and signed athletic agreement code prior to trying out for a sport. Football gear will be handed out on August 22 during registration.
Port Angeles High School
Port Angeles High School registration will be held in the Student Center between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. as follows: Monday, August 20-Seniors; Tuesday, August 21-Juniors; Wednesday, August 22-Sophomores; Thursday, August 23-Freshmen, and Friday, August 24-make-up day for all levels.
Students received a letter in early August notifying them of exact registration times; it included information about fall sports, parking permits, Open House, ASB cards, school annual and school photos.
Freshman Welcome Night is scheduled for Wednesday, August 22 at 7:00 p.m. in the high school’s Main Gymnasium. The Rider Crew will host all new ninth graders on Wednesday, August 29 for Freshman Orientation. More information will be available about this event during Freshman Welcome Night.
Lincoln High School
Lincoln High School’s office will open again on Tuesday, August 14, and registration will begin on August 20, 21, 22 and 23, from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. daily.
Parents as Partners
Parents as Partners, the Port Angeles School District’s home school connection, assists and supports parents who choose to teach their K-8 children at home. Located in the historic Donahue House next to Port Angeles High School at the corner of Peabody and Park, Parents as Partners offers home school support and assistance to families in the community, providing curriculum materials, help in working out a learning plan, and assistance in assessing a student’s progress.
