Background Information

Port Angeles School District K-12 Health and Fitness Classes K-12 will focus on the positive benefits of physical activity by offering an enjoyable health-related fitness program in an emotionally and physically safe environment. Students will apply the knowledge in ways relevant to their individual lives, and learn the basic physical skills they need to possess in order to be confident and reasonably successful in a wide range of physical activities and movement.

Fitness Components: cardiovascular endurance, muscle endurance, muscular strength, body composition and body flexibility.

Skill Related Fitness Components: agility, balance, coordination, power, reaction time and speed.
