Language Arts Curriculum Grades 7-8
Background Information
The continuation of the writing workshop model at the middle school level is important in the development and maintenance of a coherent writing curriculum. To this end, the Nancy Atwell text, Lessons That Change Writers, was selected as a teacher resource by the Language Arts Curriculum Committee for seventh and eighth grade teachers as they implement a coherent writing curriculum at the middle school level. There will be on-going professional development provided by the curriculum adoption specialists.
