Clallam Transit System is offering the 2013 Summer Youth Adventure Pass Program.


Youths ages 6 thru 19 can travel with unlimited rides across the Olympic Peninsula for $20.00


Passes will be available for purchase after Memorial Day at Clallam Transit and regular pass outlets.

Relay for Life is a fund Raiser for the American Cancer Society. The American Cancer Society is dedicated to helping persons who face cancer. It supports research, patient services, early detection, treatment and education.


All of us know someone who has been affected by the disease. Team Stevens is walking in honor of cancer survivors Camille Frazer and Anne Edwards and other people we know who have their lives impacted by Cancer.


Help us reach our goal!! Donations accepted in the gym during lunch or on line at Port Angeles Relay for life. Thank you from Team Stevens.

All Library books are due in the Library by June 6th.


Plan accordingly and get those books read and returned.

There will be an informational meeting for all 8th grade students who are interested in learning more about Upward Bound on Thursday, May 30th.


Please come to Mrs. Sanders' classroom (room 20) at the beginning of 8th grade lunch. You must be at this meeting to apply.

Yearbook purchase list is posted in the front office hallway window. There is still time to purchase a yearbook for this year. See Mrs. Kiteley.

Pizza, Pop and Power Tools! 7th & 8th grade girls are invited to come and learn about careers in construction on Monday, June 10th from 9:30am to 2:30pm at Lincoln Center.

It is fun and it is free. Application forms are available across from student services.

There are now PAHS 2013-14 fall sports information packets located by our SMS Sports Packets in the main entrance hallway across from the front office.

Attention 7th grade students:


Are you interested in working in Student Services or the library next year?


Office Assistant and Library Assistant applications are now available in Student Services.

SCHOOL POLICY REMINDERS:


You must have a pass to be in the building or to use the phone during lunch. The pass must come from the teacher you are in the building to see.

If you are tardy to school, Student Services is the place you need to go first! Check in with the office and you will be given a pass to be admitted to class

The Student Services phone may be used:

BEFORE school,

AFTER school and DURING YOUR LUNCH, with a pass.


You MAY NOT use the phone:

BETWEEN classes or

DURING class without a pass from your teacher.

Electronics:

Please remember the following:

§ IPODS and similar electronic entertainment devices are not to be used once school starts.

§ Once school starts, students may have their cell phone or electronic device on them, but it must be turned off. They are not to be used or seen again during the school day, including lunch. This means they are not to be used for making calls or for anything else.

o The first time this rule is broken, the phone is returned to a parent/guardian only.

o The second time, the phone is returned to a parent/guardian only.

o The third time, the student loses the privilege of having a cell phone at school.


Phones are available for student use at school at designated times and for emergencies.

ANIME CLUB: Tuesdays in room 4 from 3:15 – 4:15


ARTS & CRAFTS CLUB: Tuesdays in room 18 from 3:04 – 4:00.


CHESS CLUB: Tuesdays in room 18 during both lunches.


DEBATE CLUB (7th grade): Wednesdays in room 9 or 10 during 2nd lunch.


DESIGN CLUB (8TH grade): Thursdays in room 14 during 1st lunch.


FLIGHT ACADEMY: Tuesdays and Thursdays during lunch in room 21.


HOMEWORK CLUB: Monday through Thursday 3:15 – 4:00 in the library and Wednesday mornings in the gym 7:45 – 9:00.


MEDIA CLUB: Monday through Friday 7:45 – 8:30 in room 21.


THE WAY CLUB: Every other Wednesday morning 8:30 – 9:00 in room 18. Starting December 12th.
