North Olympic Peninsula Skills Center
The North Olympic Peninsula Skills Center (NOPSC) offers cost effective, quality job training in programs that would be too expensive to offer at the high school. The NOPSC provides an opportunity for students between the ages of 16 and 21 to receive career training as part of their public education with no cost to the student. The NOPSC prepares students with the academic and work skills to successfully enter the job market or advanced education/training.
Students receive competency-based, individualized instruction. NOPSC offers 12 career areas to choose from: Cosmetology, Careers in Education, Digital Media Technology, IT Technician, Building Trades, Welding Technology, Law and Justice, Automotive Technology, Culinary Arts, Natural Resources, Medical Careers, and Hotel/Tourism Management. All programs offer 1.5 high school credits upon completion and many classes offer Tech-Prep college credits for academic success.
