Background
In 2002-03 the Port Angeles School District decided to create a Truancy Outreach Group, a broad-based community leadership panel which gives advice and support improvement in an attempt to prevent unexcused absenteeism. Members include individuals from the Rotary, AmeriCorps, Peninsula College, Juvenile Services, Serenity House of Clallam County, Communities That Care, Dream Center, Y House, Clallam County Commissioner(s), Clallam County Attorneys, Olympic Educational Service District 114 and the Port Angeles School District.
