The district leadership team has assembled a number of task forces to help study and offer recommendations on a selection of issues key to the district's future. The task forces are operating in concert with several ongoing committees, and nearly all of these groups include a significant number of community members in addition to our district's teaching, counseling, specialist, classified and administrative staff. Many of the groups have produced reports for board consideration. Following the presentation of a formal report, the board generally holds a study session with the group. In some instances, multiple study sessions may occur. The board will then provide direction in response to the recommendations.
The nature of the recommendations and the board's action in response to them will affect the school district's priorities, resources, and capacity to improve student learning for years to come. As concrete information about board action becomes available, it will be posted to the website to keep community members up-to-date.
