Levy News

Ballots have been mailed to voters within the Port Angeles School District for the May 20 Technology Levy vote. Ballots must be postmarked by May 20 or dropped off at the Clallam County Courthouse by 8:00 p.m.

On February 11, 2008, the Port Angeles School District board of directors approved Resolution No. 078-11, 2008 Capital Levy for Technology, placing the four-year capital levy for technology on the ballot on May 20, 2008 to collect the following amounts of revenue: in 2009, $1,635,700; in 2010, $1,643,248; in 2011, $1,643,171; and in 2012, $1,642,972.

The Port Angeles School District last ran a technology levy in February 2005. The levy earned almost 52% in support from the community, but it failed to gain the necessary supermajority to win the victory. Three years later, the need for instructional technology steadily increases as does the role of technology in the workplace and in our everyday lives.

Open to all interested community members, families, parents, staff and students.
