PAHS Girls Varsity Softball WIAA Academic State ChampsPort Angeles High School Girls Varsity Softball players have won the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) academic state championship for the 2018 spring sports season, with a combined grade point average (GPA) of 3.838!

“The girls will be honored in a ceremony at the WIAA State Championships in Selah on May 26,” said Nancy Hodgin, Port Angeles High School Athletics Secretary.

“Their outstanding efforts have been stamped with WIAA approval!” said Dwayne Johnson, Athletic and Activities Director. “We connect with our student athletes in moments like this!”

“This would not be possible without the support of the PASD family members, including teachers, para educators, bus drivers, secretaries and custodial staff members,” continued Johnson.  “The parents of each of these student athletes are swollen with pride for their daughters’ endeavors.”

Varsity Team includes Jada Cargo (3.45 GPA), Erin Edwards (4.00 GPA), Lucah Folden (4.00 GPA), Brennan Gray (3.95 GPA), Callie Hall (3.90 GPA), Ella Holland (3.55 GPA), Olivia Nevaril (4.00 GPA), Hope O’Conner (3.51 GPA), Aeverie Politika (4.00 GPA), Sierra Robinson (3.90 GPA), Madilyn Roening (4.00 GPA), and Natalie Steinman (3.80 GPA).

The team is coached by head coach Randy Steinman, assistant coach Rob Edwards, and volunteer coaches Dirk Gouge, Chuck Perrizo, and Duffy Fors.
