High School Marketing Class Hosts Trade Show

June 06, 2012

Port Angeles, Wash. – Port Angeles High School marketing students sponsored a trade show on Tuesday, June 5, representing twenty-three local businesses as part of their end of semester final project.

“The students were able to pick their business,” marketing instructor Jennifer Kunkel explained, “but they were required to ask permission to represent their business.  The students met with the owners or managers to find out about the history of the company and product information.  In most of the situations, the businesses loaned the students merchandise to represent their business and some even raffled items something off.”

“Students were judged on their presentation materials,” Kunkel said, “and also on their ability to present the product to the judges.”

The trade show was open to all Port Angeles High School students, staff and community members.
