Port Angeles School District

From the Principal

Joyce MiningerGreetings Jefferson Wolves & Families!

I know our hearts are heavy as we process the tragedy that hit our country in the past week. Though such an incident breaks the hearts of nearly everyone, it certainly hits closer to home for those with elementary aged children, and those who are actively involved in the daily happenings of an elementary school. Please know that our staff is heartbroken for the families and faculty of Sandy Hook Elementary School, and more than ever, are thankful for the monumental task of educating and protecting your children. If ever we have been convinced that we are doing the right work in a community, it is now.

Thank you for your phenomenal support of your children, our staff, and our Jefferson/Port Angeles community. We are so thankful for you. And we are overwhelmed with the privilege of having your children with us each day.

Feel free to click on the following links for some helpful tips on how to discuss such a horrific event with your child if he or she asks. And never hesitate to call if there is any way we can help.
