Author Visit
1st-6th grade students experienced a visit last week by noted author Mike Graf. Mr. Graf gave many great tips, pointers, and inspirations from his writing.
HIGHLIGHTS:
PTO Meeting: PTO meeting will take place on Tuesday, March 9th at 6:30pm in the library. Please come to meet other parents, share ideas, and plan for ways to support learning at Jefferson. Childcare is provided.
March 10th thru March 12th: Jefferson School Glaze Craze. This is a special event sponsored by the Jefferson PTO. The Aglazing Art Studio will donate 20% of the net proceeds from these three days back to the Jefferson PTO. (Flyer coming home this week).
Jefferson/Hamilton Beginning Band (4th/5th grade) Concert on Thursday, March 11th at 7:00pm at Jefferson Elementary.
There is no school for students on Friday, March 12th. Teachers will be attending district-wide in-service on this date.
Friday, March 19th at 6:30pm will be Movie Night. Please join us for this G rated feature in the gym. Bring your chairs, blankets, pillows or mats. Name of the movie will be shared by March 10th. We are looking to add some educational value to the garden bed on the northwest corner of the school; we're adding more edible plants and participating in keeping our school grounds looking spiffy. If you'd like to help out, please come to a Gardening Day on Saturday, March 13th from 10:00am-2:00pm. Bring tools and gloves if you have them, and learn more about plans for this piece of gardening space.
There is no school for students on Friday, March 26th. This day was set aside as a snow makeup day, therefore, since we have not had a cancelled day there will be no school.
Jefferson/Franklin/Roosevelt 6th Grade Strings and Jefferson/Franklin Choir Concert at Jefferson Elementary at 7:00pm Tuesday, March 30th.
Report cards will go home with the students on Wednesday, March 31st.
Spring Break: There is no school for students April 5th thru April 9th. School will resume on Monday, April 12th.
