General PTA Information and Mission Statement
Are you interested in becoming a PTA board member? Each year in April/May we begin the process of electing new officers for the new year. Contact us at anytime during the school year if you are interested and we can put you on the ballot for the next election. The current bylaws state that each office is a one year term with two consecutive years as the maximum amount of time to hold any one position on the executive board.
During a general PTA meeting all those in attendance may vote. The executive board meets prior to a general meeting in order to bring a recommendation to the general meetings. No decisions are made without a vote held during a general PTA meeting.
The mission of the PTA is to provide monetary and volunteer assistance as well as enrichment programs to the school. All programs and assemblies must benefit the entire school population. We have achieved this by running annual fundraisers. We are a non-profit corporation.
Bylaws are available upon request. The current executive board is seeking volunteers to form a committee to review and amend the bylaws. For questions, or to obtain a copy of the bylaws, contact the president, Heather Iotte (461.1185) or Jane Wise (928.0202).
