Message from the Principal

Welcome to our February edition of Dragon Tales.  It seems incredible that we have already completed more than half of the school year.  This is an important learning time in our school calendar as we settle in to the middle part of the school year.  As I walk through classrooms I am so pleased and proud to experience the quality of instruction in every classroom, every day in this building.  You can be confident that your child is receiving a quality education here at Dry Creek!

We are looking forward to our McDonald’s McTakeover Wednesday, February 12th from 5:00-7:00 p.m.  We hope you can join us for a fun meal.  Our Dry Creek PTO will earn 40% of all the sales during that time. The fun doesn’t stop there.  The Dry Creek Staff will be there to help serve you with a smile!

During the month of February we are encouraging students to share compliments, show gratitude, and appreciate friends.  Positive relationships have more influence on achievement than does any other single factor.  The relationship of teacher and child, parent and teacher, parent and child, and student and peers are interrelated, and reinforce each other.  Thank you for your continuing communication with us.

Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.
