Beginning Skills Training

Students logging into the network on campus.

  1. Press CTRL+ALT+DEL when windows starts

  2. If your name is not displayed choose switch user

  3. Enter the username. The student username is their Other ID in Skyward (example 0801234)

  4. Enter the password.

  5. Student can change their password (I recommend they do). Once logged in press CTRL+ALT+DEL and select change password. If they forget the password email me the Other ID and I will reset it.

Logging in to Office 365 online

  1. Open Internet Explorer and go to portal.office.com

  2. Enter your full email address. For students this would be their OtherID number followed by the domain.
    Example: 0801234@ms.pasd.wednet.edu.
    For faculty, this will be your district username followed by portangelesschools.org.
    Example: jsmith@portangelesschools.org

  3. When you try to put in your password you will be redirected to the Port Angeles School District login page.

  4. Enter your username. The student username is their Other ID in Skyward (example 0801234). Faculty will use their district username.

  5. Enter the password.

Using OneDrive.

OneDrive is a cloud space for saving documents for use off-site or collaborating with others.

  1. Saving or opening files in Office 2013\2016 (Only when logged into your computer with a personal account)

    1. On the open or save menu choose “OneDrive – Port Angeles School District”

  2. Opening your OneDrive space in the Browser.

    1. Login to the computer with your personal account or launch the browser in private session.

      1. To login with a personal account use the steps outlined under “Students logging into the network on campus”

      2. Launch Internet Explorer in “private” mode.

        1. Click the little sprocket in the upper right hand corner of your screen.

        2. Choose safety – In private browsing.

      3. Launch Chrome in “private” mode

        1. Click the 3 small horizontal lines in the upper right hand corner of the screen

        2. Choose new incognito window.

    2. Login at Outlook.office365.com and use the icons in the upper left corner to navigate to OneDrive.

How to download your personal copy of Office 2016.

  1. Once logged into Office 365 select “Office 365” in the upper left had side of the screen.

  2. Choose Install now and follow the on screen instructions.

Logging in to your Google Account from a Windows machine

  1. Login to the computer with your personal account or launch the browser in private session.

    1. To login with a personal account use the steps outlined under “Students logging into the network on campus”

    2. Launch Internet Explorer in “private” mode.

  2. Click the sign in button. Be sure to sign out when you’re done and close the browser.
