Kristen Lunt Named Stevens Middle School Principal

Kristen Lunt Named Stevens Middle School PrincipalKristen Lunt has been named principal at Stevens Middle School.  Lunt’s position as Stevens Middle School principal is effective July 1, 2019.

Ryan Stevens, Stevens Middle School principal since July 2016, has accepted a job with the Quileute Tribal School in La Push, WA.

“I thank the Port Angeles community for the opportunity to serve as principal of Stevens Middle School and I wish the best for all students, community members, and staff members of Port Angeles School District,” said Stevens. 

“I am embracing a new opportunity to serve in the capacity of K-12 Principal of Quileute Tribal School,” continued Stevens.  “I look forward to this new challenge in helping the community design a new building to meet the needs of our children, our families, and our entire community.”

Lunt has been with the Port Angeles School District since 2005, and has taught at Fairview Elementary, Roosevelt Elementary, and Jefferson Elementary before moving to Stevens Middle School in September 2017 for administrative duties.

“I would like to thank the Port Angeles School District and the PA community for the opportunity to serve in the role of principal of Stevens Middle School,” said Lunt. “I whole-heartedly embrace the opportunity to support students, staff, and the community as we work collaboratively to support our students. We all have the same goals in mind and together, with a positive climate, we will reach our goals.”

“We thank Ryan for his leadership at Stevens Middle School these past three years and wish him well in his new assignment,” said Superintendent Marty Brewer. “Kristen was ready to take on a principal position and we are excited to see her work continue in this leadership role.”
