Emergency Board Meeting

CALL TO ORDER
The Board of Directors of Port Angeles School District No. 121 met at 9:02 a.m. on Thursday, June 5, 2008, at Angeles Millwork, 1601 C Street, for an emergency board meeting. Proper notification of the meeting was made according to law. In attendance were Mr. Baxter, Dr. Happe, Mrs. Kelly, Mr. Linn, and Superintendent Cohn. Ms. McLaughlin arrived later during the meeting.
The purpose of the meeting was to approve international travel scheduled for Friday, June 6, 2008. Dr. Cohn explained that the meeting was called in order to approve a field trip for Dry Creek Elementary 5th grade students to travel to Victoria, BC on June 6, 2008. The meeting is necessary to ensure prior approval is in place for international travel, and the trip request was not submitted prior to the last regular meeting.
Mr. Linn moved, seconded by Mr. Baxter that the board approve the international travel for Dry Creek Elementary 5th grade students on June 6, 2008. The motion passed unanimously. Ms. McLaughlin was not present at the time of the vote.
