Enrollment Report and Outlook
The District’s total enrollment for February 2010 (not including Skills Center or Running Start) is 3,709.69 FTE. This is 78 FTE fewer than last year at this time but is 31.46 FTE students above budget. The budget is based upon the Average FTE over the entire School Year. If the month-by-month enrollment trends from the past five years continue, it is projected that the average enrollment for the 2009-10 school year will be 3,716.93 FTE or 38.65 students more than budgeted. Here is the essence of each grade band’s status:
- Grades K-6 enrollment is at 1,859.25 FTE. This is 54.66 FTE less than last year at this time and 64.69 FTE less than last May (7.62 FTE less than budgeted).
- Grades 7-8 enrollment is at 606.55 FTE. This is 22.33 FTE more than last year at this time, and 27.32 FTE more than last May (4.64 less than budgeted).
- Grades 9-12 enrollment is at 1,243.89 FTE. This is 45.67 FTE less than last year at this time, and 12.47 less than last May (43.76 FTE more than budget).
- Skills Center enrollment is at 165.45 FTE. This is 17.90 FTE students more than last year at this time, and 27.42 FTE more than last May (15.45 FTE more than budget).
- Running Start enrollment is 81.20 FTE, 16.86 FTE less than last year at this time and 3.16 FTE less than budget.
- Enrollment in Parents as Partners is at 11.67 FTE. This is 4.87 FTE more than last year, and 1.15 FTE less than last May (2.97 FTE more than budget). The Parents as Partners enrollment is included in the K-6 and 7-8 enrollment above.
