New Director on Board at Skills Center
Jody Potter is the new director for the North Olympic Peninsula Skills Center. Potter, who started work mid-August replaced Peggy Templeton, who submitted her resignation in June to pursue another position.

Franklin Students Chosen as Port Angeles School District Students of the Month
Two Franklin Elementary School students, Chloe Teter and Ethan Michaelis, were honored by Principal Amity Butler at the September 24 School Board meeting as Port Angeles School District Students of the Month. The students, both in sixth grade, were selected by Franklin staff as part of a program honoring exemplary students during the 2015-16 school year.

On Friday, September 18, North Olympic Peninsula Skills Center (NOPSC) Commercial Arts Instructor Melissa Klein and her students unveiled the mural titled Port Angeles: Past, Present and Future they had painted for the Port Angeles School District’s Central Services Building.
